Grant-A-Wish
Wishes placed through NCSTA’s Grant-A-Wish often do come true!
Every science educator has imagined the perfect learning experience that promotes learner engagement and results in that student “I get it” moment. But often tight budgets and limited supplies make the needed instructional opportunity unavailable.
However, the resources needed to implement that perfect lesson might be attained through a “Grant-a-Wish” mini-grant.
Submit your wish list for a chance to receive up to $200 worth of classroom materials. All wishes meeting the mini-grant proposal requirements will be considered. Selections will be based on: Feasibility (how likely will grant materials be used), Sustainability (will materials be used more than once), Value (how does grant request align to current science standards), and the number of students affected.
When submitting your proposal don’t forget to account for sales tax and shipping.
Your proposal for a mini-grant will be in competition with all other eligible proposals and must be submitted by October 9, 2026.
Additionally, your PDI registration MUST BE PAID by October 9, 2026.
Attendance at the 2026 PDI is mandatory to receive a mini-grant.
